I don’t have a blog.
Blogs should be current, and frequently updated. I don’t have great thoughts every day. Or every week. Or sometimes every month. Rather than indulge in diarrhea of the keyboard, I’d rather publish good stuff when I can in magazines, white papers, and journals.
Blogs don’t seem to follow rules of civilized discourse. People say things about each other that they would never say to each other–not even in email. I don’t want to get sucked into that particular habit.
Blogs just seem too self-promotional for my taste. “Hey, everybody, look at me! Every day! I have a blog! And a Prius!” Whatever happened to modesty?
That’s just what I thought of for why I don’t have a blog.
